My Heart Is Locked Away Inside
even from you trying to hide
because you are the only one with the capability
to set all of us free.
but I myself
just like everyone else
RUN
I run because I’m terrified
if my heart’s no longer locked inside
will you hurt me too?
because if you do
it will crush me and I may die
because if I’m left behind
one more time
I don’t think I’ll survive…
because there are already, so many
things beneath the surface
things no one else can see
because I’m afraid if they see me
they won’t like what they see and they’ll leave
I mean Lord what other examples do I have?
they’ve all made promises and then left just as fast
as the time it took to speak their empty words
leaving me further broken and so deeply hurt
so God what do you want from me?
You want me to trust?
when masks are all I see?
I don’t even think I can take off the one I’m wearing
because I don’t even know if I remember me
the real me
the one that knew my hopes and dreams
the one that saw good in everything
that when looking at roughness, saw possibilities
I don’t remember her much…
Lord what happened?
how did I end up in this prison?
why did everyone leave?
was it really all my fault?
am I really that bad?
am I worth anything at all??
Please help me remember the power in your name
that You saw ME as a Pearl of Great Price
that You gave up everything to gain.
that the three nails in your body, were for me
because you loved me so much
you couldn’t stand the possibility
of us being separated for eternity…
you gave it all for me
even if it were ONLY me
so help me Jesus
help me please!
I’ve been so blind help me see the truth clearly!
help me to tear down these walls
to believe in hope, believe in Love
believe in Your Love for me most of all!
I’ve been so afraid Lord of complete surrender
help me to remember
you’ve always been my only reason worth living for
God, Jesus, Lord, Abba Father, Yahweh
help me to Always say
NO MATTER WHAT I Love and trust you Lord
