The empire city, which so often carries a reputation for success, is also home to thousands who are caught in an endless cycle of drugs, violence, poverty, and homelessness. In the midst of nighttime gunfire, crime, and domestic abuse, teens in the projects are under pressure to grow up fast. Gangs are the only family many of them have. Substance abuse becomes a way of life to cope with the hurt from neglect and the disappointment of broken dreams. For many, turning to
Jesus for answers would be a foreign concept that no one has challenged them to consider. You can change that this summer!

Acts of Love
Go door to door in some of the poorest neighborhoods and projects in America. We will be working side by side with Metro Ministries, home to the worlds largest Sunday school as they meet with over 20,000 kids each week! Meet children where they live and invite them to come to an event to learn about Jesus. You might even get invited inside and have a chance to talk to everyone in the house about the message you have brought. You and your team will put on a huge carnival event for the children of the inner city and spend time with them and teach them about Jesus. Then head out into the streets to pray with people and invite them to a movie night so they can hear about Jesus.

At one point in my life I did not think I was going to see this trip. Now that I’m here I see now why I am here.
