About the Seminar
This TrueNorth Seminar is designed to prepare you to successfully serve as a leader on a Global Expeditions mission trip. You will be equipped with tools for large and small group leadership, public speaking, group dynamics, effective confrontation and more. As you participate in our unique approach to training, you will find yourself immersed in a hands on learning experience that allows you to interact with our TrueNorth staff in a variety of ways: Team building activities, personal interviews and small group discussions.

Food, Housing, and Transportation
The Garden Valley Events offer FREE meals and lodging and a shuttle service for any participant fully registered 2 weeks in advance.

  • FREE MEALS  – Meals are served in our campus cafeteria and Seminar attendees are invited to sit down and enjoy their food with our intern and staff family. As well, please note that due to the high volume of meals that are prepared daily in the cafeteria, we cannot accommodate for special diets and/or meal plans.
  • FREE HOUSING – We provide the option of free lodging in our campus bunk houses. There are lockers available for personal items and community shower centers are a short walk away from sleeping quarters. Space in our free housing option is limited, so it is assigned to Seminar attendees on a “first to register, first to be housed” basis. It should be noted that there are hotel options available for those who prefer to stay off campus and/or for those who are married and prefer to stay together (we are not able to house married couples together in our bunk houses).
  • SHUTTLE SERVICE – We offer a shuttle service from/to the DFW airport on Friday night (departs DFW at 4pm) and Sunday morning (arrives to DFW at 10am) The shuttle is $49 and can be paid at registration. As well, the shuttle is only available for those who submit their flight information before March 30th.


Packing/Preparation List 

  • Fill out your leadership application only if you are definiately going to serve on a Global Expeditions mission trip.
  • Please wear casual clothes. – no skirts, modest neckline on shirts (we will be doing team building activities, so this is important).
  • Make sure your 2 minute message is prepared.
  • Bring your recommendation with you to registration.
  • If you would like to take advantage of the free lodging, free meals, and/or shuttle service from the DFW airport please click here to sign up before March 30th.
  • If you are staying on our campus headquarters, please remember to bring a sleeping bag, flip flops (for shower shoes), a personal towel, and tolietries.
