We want you to know that we are committed to provoking your teenager to pursue a passionate relationship with Jesus Christ, and to take His life-giving message to the ends of the earth.
We are serious about seeing teenagers do great things for God, and we believe it begins with world class training, spiritual discipline, and a whole lot of fun!
We promise to provide opportunities for your student to grow closer to God, become more emotionally mature, improve their social skills, develop their leadership, communicate their faith, and express God’s love.
What Happens to a Teen On a Global Expeditions Mission Trip?
A Stronger, Deeper Commitment to Christ
By participating on mission trips teens have an outlet to express their belief in Jesus to others. As they share their Christian testimony it affirms their responsibility to be consistent in their walk with God and remain passionate in their decision to follow Christ. Missions reminds our kids that they have chosen to be a part of making the world a better place and develops within them lasting habits of spending time with God and learning from His Word.
New Relationships, Lasting Friendships
Your teen will get to know others from different backgrounds and regions, and be encouraged by the shared love for God these new relationships provide. As they serve together with like-minded hearts and minister to others in Jesus’ Name, they will learn by experience that true friends are those who’ll stick with you through challenging circumstances, pray with and for you at each new juncture, and celebrate with you when God moves mountains!
We believe in developing leaders that will change the world. As your teens impact lives, they will benefit from the years of experienced leadership coaching that Global Expeditions is recognized for. Through the leadership training provided through Global Expeditions, your teens will have the opportunity to take home new levels of confidence, respect, responsibility, and humility found in the hearts of true servant leaders.
Because we are working with teenagers, leadership is very important to us. With the current state of today’s culture, young dynamic leaders are desperately needed; it is normal for young people to emerge from missions with the drive to positively impact the world, not just in ministry, but in other spheres of influence including medical, political, educational, and business as well. Every aspect of the mission trip has been infused with opportunities for growth and leadership training that will teach students how to lead, follow and serve with Christ-like integrity.
Character is Strengthened
Within one mission trip, your child will grow in life skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. They will learn how to value and demonstrate responsibility, accountability, teamwork, compassion, and hard work. Teenagers facing life lessons thrive in a setting where attitude matters. Global Expeditions engages young people in carefully chosen learning projects and enables them to step out of their familiar safe zones to exercise their gifts, talents, and personality.
Cultivate an “It’s Not About Me” Perspective
As your young person begins to think beyond “their” world, to “others” by discovering other cultures and being immersed in the lives of others, they will step beyond their room, their school, their familiar surroundings, and broaden their worldview. Their ideas of “self” are challenged by the stark realities of the desperate situations of other cultures. Mission trips will help them understand the world by experiencing it… and know their neighbors by serving them. Self focus diminishes when we engage in sacrificial service to others, and teens are able to reach out in love as they set aside selfishness.
